Artist Statement

Anger

The main idea that drove this idea is that I wanted to show anger through gritting teeth which is why I drew a mouth that's grinding its teeth like someones angry. I also wanted to incorporate lots of color and different plants and flowers and do a collage which is why I chose to make my background up of a cut up flower magazine. The materials I used to create this were cut up magazine pages, tape, cut up paper, paint markers, and pencil. The process for this piece was slower because I made it smaller and I also only added one facial feature to show anger making it not take so long.
