The leading idea for this piece is that I really wanted to try and create a happy look through stronger face expressions and lines. I did this by making the eyes bigger, rosy cheeks and obvious smile. I also used warmer colors, primarily orange because I feel like it makes me happy and gives off a happy vibe. to create this piece I used acrylic paint for my background to make sure it was solid and bright and then I used paint marker to create the sun like design in the back. I wanted it to look like rays of happiness coming off the face. For the face I used alcohol marker in light warm colors and then outlined the features in black pen. The process I used for this project had more steps because I did my background and then I did the face on a separate piece of paper and then cut it out and taped it to my background
