Through The Eyes Of Others

Ideas that are evident In my work are that I wanted the eye to be the center of attention in my work and I wanted red and white to be the main colors in my work. My work relates to my life because I find myself looking at people on social media a lot and thinking why I don’t look like them when In reality those photos have been photoshopped so much that they probably don't look like the real person.

My work was made with mostly crayons for the eye piece and for the rest I used watercolors and acrylic paint. In my work I used a lot of cut out paper and tape to try and create that dimensional collage look.

The process I used to create my work was I started off by lightly sketching out the eye with a pencil and then went over all of it with crayon. After that I cut it out and layered it onto a different piece of paper and created my words and red and white background. My work really evolved when I added my cutout words and white lines and details to my red watercolor background. I think my next steps could have been to make my work bigger.
