The Signs

Ideas that are visually evident in my work is that I wanted to use lots of graphics, bright colors, and bolded words to catch people's attention. I also wanted the words on the signs to make it clear what my work was about. This project relates to my life because I care about these subjects a lot so I enjoyed doing artwork about them. This project also relates to my life because the subjects of my work are real problems that the world is facing right now. My work was made with watercolors, painters tape, a ruler, pencils, an eraser, black gel pen, and markers. And I did all of my work on mixed media paper. The process I used to create my work was I started off by creating my border and then taped off the border to keep it clean, then I sketched out my idea and added color using watercolors and markers. My last steps were erasing visible pencil marks and adding black gel pen to outline my work and add details. My work definitely evolved as I added color and went over it in black pen to add details. I think my next steps could have been to do more of a background on some of my work and do it on larger paper.
