Artist Statement

Love

The main idea that guided this work is that I wanted the the face to look cartoonish and somewhat distorted. I also wanted it to all stay the same color or in the same color them so it could really show the emotion I was going for. I also outlined everything in color and then went over it in a thin black pen so the pen would stand out a lot. This work was made with watercolor pants, markers, and thin black pen. the process I used to make this work was simple I really just sketched out what I wanted and went over the whole thing in layers of watercolor paint. When that dried i went pack over my sketch with marker and then black pen.
