Artist Statement

Splat

The main idea that guided my artwork is that when I first saw my paper and its mark I immediately thought of paint splatter. The paint splatter made me think of paintbrushes and different size bottles of paint. For this work I only used a sharpie pen and watercolor after I sketched everything in pencil. My process was mostly figuring out how big I wanted everything to look on the paper and what colors I wanted to use in my work.
