John Wilkins appears to be related to the Solomon Wilkyn above (who may be his father, an uncle or cousin), and in 1555/56 the two men purchased a Moiety of Manor of Dyvens.1 mess, 300a land, 10a mead, 40a past, 300a wood, £3 rent in Eastling, Throwley, Ospringe, Newenham, Doddington, Faversham, Preston, Stallisfield & Otterden. £140.; also 1554 - Q: Jn Wylkyn. - Michael Wilkins (c. 17 Mar 1568- bur. 1 Feb 1634, Throwley), husbandman of Throwley, married twice.
- He married Obedience Goulding at Throwley on 14 Jan 1599/1600. She is the daughter of Thomas Goulding "the elder" of Warbleton, Sussex, who was executed on 19 April 1609. Goulding mentions Obedience, wife of Michael Wilkin.in his will Kent Online Parish Clerks list five Wilkin births during this era:

- Thomas (27 June 1602),
- Elizabeth (2 Feb 1605),
- Anne (30 Oct 1608)
- and Mary (Mar 3 1610). Obedience was buried at Throwley on 23 June 1623.
- Michael was a 62-year-old widower when he married Catherine Hooper, the widow of Roger Hooper, on May 24, 1630.
- Four days later, the parish register records the christening of Michael's son "Michael."
- Their daughter Cisely was christened on April 19, 1633.
- Michael buried his wife Catherine on 14 Jan 1634. Michael died the following month.
