Robert Knight of Borden, Kent, followed Jack Cade of to London in the rising of 1450, which some historians consider to be the opening clash of the Wars of the Roses.
He is probably a descendant (great grandson?) of the Eleanor Knight in Kent's Lay Subsidy roll of 1334/5 and may also be related to, possibly father of, Edward Knight of Stockbury whose will was proved in 1515.
