EARLY LIFE
Anne was the youngest child of Richard Knight and Anne Hopper. She was christened at St Peter's Church in Boughton Monchelsea, on 30 Jan, 1613.
Sometime prior to her marriage, Anne's father appears to have come into possession of Ripple Court Manor in Hollingbourne. That explains why the marriage was held at All Saint's church in Hollingbourne on 17 Feb, 1642.
Anne married her cousin William Knight. They took up residence in Bredgar and christened their children in that parish.
RIPPLE COURT MANOR
Richard Knight died in Jan 1653/4, at which point his son Robert Knight inherited Ripple court Manor.
As Robert had no offspring, his sister Anne might have inherited the manor - only she was buried on 25 Jul, 1663, in Hollingbourne.
So after Robert Knight died, Ripple Court Manor passed to Anne's recently widowed husband William Knight.
