EARLY YEARS
William was the third child of William & Christian Goodhew, christened at St Mary Madeline March 28 1708
He married Martha Coleman in 1728.
FARMING
They were listed as tenants in Hillgreen, in the Stockbury Overseers accounts 1731. Their last child born in the parish was Richard in 1736 & the Goodhews were 6 pence in arrears in 1742. They moved to Yelsted the following year, and by 1744 ceased to be listed among the parish’s tenant farmers. William II probably survived as a labourer, A "Mrs Goodhew" died in Stockbury during 1773.
