Family
William is the eldest son of William and Jane Pak, born about 1480. He married Joan around 1505.
REAL ESTATE TRANSCATIONS
He appears to have been involved in two real estate transactions.
The first was about 10 miles to the east, in Holingbourne, during the 14th year of Henry VIII's rule (1523/4): (Q) William Fyssher of Ledys and William Pak bought a house and 7 1/2 acres in Hollingbourne from (D) William & Agnes Vanner of Hollingbourne
In 1530, William Pack and five partners bought "the manor of Evell, 120 acres farm, 40 acres pasture, 20 acres wood in West Farleigh, Hunton and Yalding for 100 marks. (Michael Zell, KENT FEET OF FINES HENRY VII, item #895)
WILL
William Pak, dated and proved 1531, East Barming & Ditton, Kent, England, Registered Will DRb/PWr/9.5, Mentions: Joan my wife, my sons John Pak and William Pak. Joan Downs my daughter. Talks of his land in East Barming Ditton If John does not marry and have sons, then the lands to go to William Pak. A Thomas Pak is mentioned but probably not in the context of a son. Seems to be in a bit of an overseer relationship or perhaps something with the land. Sir John Symsons, Rector of Barming, witnessed William Pake of East Barming's will on 8 May 1531.
