1210 - Sir Richard

FAMILY

Sir Richard Tylden of Sittenbourne was allegedly the son a crusader, also named Sir Richard Tylden.

He supposedly married Gertrude, daughter of Sir William Vernon, of Fordsham, in Cheshire and they were the parents of the Henry

Tylden who a Tilden genealogists asserts "was recorded in Kent about the year 1292."

The date above would appear to pertain to his alleged son, Henry de Tildenne, who served as a witness during a controversy between King Edward I and and the Pryor of the Hospital of St. John in 1293.
