EARLY YEARS
Solomon is the seventh child of Edward Clinche and Elizabeth Piers. He was christened at Otterden, on 10 Jul 1631, and was only eleven when the English Civil War broke out. Solomon was 17 when the Royalist rebellion was defeated at the battle of Maidstone, only 14 miles away.
MARRIED YEARS
He presumably married Frances around 1662 and resided in Otterden. They did not own a house when the 1664 assessment was taken .
Frances acted as a witness on 10 Feb 1682/3 of the burial on 6 Feb 1682/3 of ffrancis, the dau. of Daniel and Mary Clark who was buried "in wool"
Otterden's parish register records Solomon's burial: "1684/5, Solomon Clinch Parish Clark poor bur."
