Solomon s/o David Wylkyns of Tonge (abt 1500 - aft 1559)
- Feoffment Solomon Wilkyn, son and heir of David Wilkyn [cf. wylkyns], late of Tonge, yeoman to Nicholas Fynche [cf. Finch], gentleman, Thomas Thomas, John Coveney, junior, and John Archer, yeomen: 8 November 1533 5 acres arable land in Radfield in Bapchild in 3 pieces of 2½ acres, 3 virgates and l acres 3 virgates
- Hasted wrote of the avowdson of the vicarage of Tonge: "The parsonage of the church of Tong did not re= main long in the hands of the crown, for the king granted it in his 29th year (i.e. 1538/39), with the monastery, and the lands and possessions of it, to the archbishop of Canterbury, in exchange for other premises; but all advowsons were excepted out of this grant. Soon after which, this parsonage was demised on lease by the archbishop at the yearly rent of six pounds, and in this state it still continues parcel of the posses= sions of the archbishopric of Canterbury.But the advowson of the vicarage, by virtue of the above-mentioned exception, still remained in the crown, where it continued till it was sold anno 1557, to Salomon Wilkins; but in the next reign of queen Elizabeth, it was become vested in William Potter."

- Salmon Wikyns was there executor of the will of Thomas Thomas of Preston (outside Faversham) 1 June 1550 - Duncan Harrington, THOMAS ARDEN IN FAVERSHAM, The Faversham Society, p 408)
- On January 20 1588 Rowland Clerke and his wife obtained license to grant Bexle manor to Saloman and David Wilkins, thus Hasted wrote " this manor soon afterwards to Sir Rowland Clerke, who in the 4th and 5th year of king Philip and queen Mary, alienated it to Saloman Wilkins, who was succeeded by his son David Wilkins, who resided at Bex, or Bexle court, in this parish, an estate which had formerly belonged to the Nottinghams, of Bayford, in Sittingborne."
- Will of Sir Thomas Cheyney, dated 6 December 1558 and proved 25 April 1559 states: "my manors, lands, tenements and hereditaments whatsoever with their appurtenances which now be or late were in the several tenures and occupations of these persons whose names hereafter ensueth, that is to wit, Richard Patwyn, John Norden of Sittingbourne, Peter Hame, Ralph Rogers, gentleman, William Callcott(?) of Skeddington, William Swalmon, John Elmar, John Colesele, James Colesell, Henry Elyott, (blank) Ferybye, John Clinton’s widow, John Sogar’s widow of the Isle of Grain, the ferryman of the Ryde ferry, John Arnold and William Arnold, John Bussyn, (blank) Chylde of Leyson, Peter Byssye, Thomas Sampson, Robert Sampson, Robert Hircis(?), Thomas Borne, Anthony Higecok(?), Christopher Harrys, John Ambrosse of Harty, Thomas Paramer of Harty, Thomas Mayre of Gillingham, John Porreye now Norden, John Elyott, John Dymmesdale, John Crowcher, John Wood(?) of Milton, John Warner of Milton, Thomas Harrys, William Wreeke, Thomas Horton of Minster, and William Grayne of Minster, and in the occupation of Salmon Wylkyn other than Bynney Court, which manors, lands and tenements with their appurtenances thus appointed and left to descend be of the clear yearly value of nine hundred and fifty pounds and better above all charges ..."

- John Wykyn (bef. 1525 - bur. 25 Nov 1604 ) with whom he bought numerous properties in Throwley & other places in 1555/56 (see below).
- Solomon undoubtedly had brothers, sisters, sons & daughters who we do not know about.
