Richard Gaskin (about 1580 - after 1623) was the head of one of two Gaskin families in Dartford, the other belonging to Benjamin Gaskin. Though we do not know their professions, it is interesting to note that Dartford had been a centre in cloth industry for more than two centuries and, as of the reign of Elisabeth II, also produced paper.
