DISCUSSION OF RELATIONSHIP
The first of our Doe family to appear in written records may be the Stephen and Margaret Doe who purchased a house, 40 a land, 40 a pasture, 8 acres wood in Hollingbourne and Hucking in 4 Edward VI (28 January 1551 – 27 Jan 1552). Seven years later, 1558/59, "Margaret Doo widow the wife of Steven Doo as buryed the xxxth (30th) December" was buried in Bredgar.
Our ancestor Nicholas Doe had connections to all three of the parishes mentioned above: Hollingbourne, Hucking and Bredgar.
As Stephen was the right age, I suspect he was Nicholas Doe's father.
