Kobolds are weak, craven, and seethe with a festering resentment for the rest of the world, especially members of races that seem stronger, smarter, or superior to them in any way. They proudly claim kinship to dragons, but beneath all the bluster, the comparison to their distant cousins leaves kobolds with a profound sense of inadequacy. Though they are hardworking, clever, and blessed with a natural talent for mechanical devices and mining, they spend their days nursing grudges and hatreds instead of celebrating their own gifts. Kobold tactics specialize in traps and ambushes, but kobolds enjoy anything that allows them to harm others without putting themselves at risk. Often, they seek to capture rather than to kill, taking out their frustrations on the helpless victims they drag back to their claustrophobic lairs.
Kobolds are cooperative and well organized compared to the chaos of other monster races. Sadly while kobolds work well as teams they are hindered by being 3 feet tall, and fragile compared to other races. It is a rare kobold that can chop wood or mine stone. This means kobold society lives as scavengers sifting the refuse that other civilizations leave behind. Despite this Kobolds are a proud people who consider them-self immature dragons and who name their young after famous dragons.
Among the Dragonkin. Spellcasters are the highest caste and are widely respected in kobold society (As spellcasting is something that they do well despite their small size and racial weaknesses) Also egg-bearers (females) are esteemed above males partly due to magic use being much more prevalent among females and partly due to the necessities of life as a egg-bearing culture.

Armor: Kobolds naturally scaly skin grants them a +1 natural armor bonus.

Crafty: Kobolds gain a +2 racial bonus on Craft (trapmaking), Perception, and Profession(miner) checks. Craft (trapmaking) and Stealth are always class skills for a kobold.
Jester: (option) Kobolds sometimes swallow their pride and survive by groveling, placating, and amusing the powerful. Kobolds gain a +2 racial bonus on Diplomacy and Perform checks. Additionally Diplomacy and Perform are always class skills for them.
