Night of day 12
Party has decided to sneak out of the fort to attempt a surgical strike on the caster hiding in the back of all the other undead. The party seeks out Captian Salhana but she is already sleeping having finished the day shift leaving Captian Ort Firebeard in charge and no one really liked him. Undril is acting as a mobile healer tending to whomever the snipers and mage knock off the ramparts seeking to stabilize them before they can die. Using her to introduce them to the rear tower teh party convinces teh guards there that they are on a secret mission to take out the enemy caster orders straight from Commander Breakbone. Kylorin convinces Mushi to accompany them and his cloak of shadows makes a huge difference sneaking out over the walls.
As a matter of fact as the group is sneaking out they see a small squad of undead trying to sneak in. A zombie girallon is carrying a ghoul prepared to toss it over the wall into the prisoner compound. Using the cover of Mushi's spell Celadon lights up the enemies in a glitterdust and the fighters and Lindal leap into action just tearing the girallon and its rider into shreds. The whole battle is over so fast that none of the surrounding undead are any the wiser. The party proceeds to sneak across the battlefield and finds that there are zombies armed with bells to draw attention of the many skeletal archers scattered around the battle field. The party barely disables one such zombie before it can sound the alarm and then come up with a new plan. There is a number of siege weapons abandoned on the field and Eddie's owl has found one that is armed and pointed in roughly the right direction. Using his owl's sight he helps guid the party to the weapon and Freya is able to get the hang of the multi-bolt thrower. Something that looks like a cross between an arbalast and a hwacha. Getting the drop the party fires it right on the group of undead around the caster and peppers them with bolts but the caster immediately casts a spell and disappears from sight. Lindal sneaks off to try to find the caster and the caster and him play peekaboo around another siege weapon while the party wade into battle with half a dozen arrow filled zombies and a host of skeletal archers that just keep peppering folks from the sidelines.
Finally in battle Kylorin pops out her Drift globe and lets rip with blinding sunlight as teh party tear into the undead swarm. But the caster uses magic to freak out several people and scare Kylorin into dropping her weapon. Lindal seeing the caster with his back to him darts in and stabs him in the back while freya steps up and takes off her head. This breaks the spell on Kylorin whom promtly picks up her sword, uses it to smite a zomie into the ground and uses her shield to knock back the other threatening her and then says, "We did what we came for, lets go home"
Freya picks up the caster's corpse whom is clearly a caster from the Outpost and teh group sneak back into the camp, hide the body of the caster and get a nights rest as best as they can.
