Party faced some devious puzzles and traps which they mastered easily. Seldion gets hurt via his inability to separate stories of heroes from the real dangers of what is happening now to the point that the dwarf has to put him on a leash to keep him out of trouble.
One trap in particular is a huge statue of Kassen in a room with sliding stairs. The wooden statue crushes Seldion beyond deaths door yet the party manages to bring him back and when they do he said he met Kassen when he was dead and that Kassen had explained some of what had happened to the temple and left him a gift nearby. The rest of the party was dubious but the knowledge did helped them discover a room filled with treasure set aside specifically for them by the people who had perished earlier during the temples corruption. The gift was a animal bestowed with some wisdom to help guide Seldion into making better decisions.
The party then bypasses a deadly arrow trap using the golumn's shields and encounters a quartet of blood fiends. The blood fiends are a fiendish skeleton that regenerate back from even a single droplet of blood left behind. Ariel knows of them though and knows how to counter their power. The party destroy all but one and then descend to the lowest level of the temple. This is from the original temple which later became the shrine of eternal flame long after it original gods were forgotten. The party find a room of sanctuary protected by Kassen's blessing. A fountain in the room gives them visions, heals their wounds, and lets them meet with Kassen as well where he bestows wisdom upon them and tells them they will need to become heroes.
