This is a decent summary. I use more verbiage, but this is a better approach for people. A lot of the night's important facts, with the details of a few interesting situations emphasized. <GM snipped flavor text> 'After the companions reach Havenford, they discover that the Eagle Merchant is a smoldering ruins and the towns folk crying for Elven blood. With some investigations and my charm, they find out that the merchants left before the fire and headed north. Deciding to follow them they manage to hire two trackers Harvey and Wynn with the help of Corbett and alot of talons. Since they know they must hurry to catch up to the merchants, they decide to set out before nightfall. Knowing that Gabriel will arrive soon, they ask Terramill to stay and wait to explain all that has happened. Before setting out, Karn protects the wagon with great spells of death and destruction to any who tries to approach the wagon. With everything taken care of they begin their hunt. With two of Corbett's pets in the lead they head north following the trail of the merchants' wagons. After deciding to take a short cut, the band is greeted by a pack of hungry wolves. With the help of the hounds, the wolves are taken care of quickly. In a few minutes, the wolves were either dead or fleeing for their lives. Unhurt, they continue on and reach a small bridge. After see that the bridge is safe enough to cross, Ghel and Joseph crosses first with Karn a few steps and the others waiting on the other side. Suddenly Corbett and his deadly hounds burst out of the trees in front of Ghel and Joseph and the trackers looses the two dogs on Lando. Angry at the betrayal, Joseph spits out a blast of sizzling hot death at Corbett while Ghel dices the hounds that venture onto the bridge. Seeing the death of his hounds and failing to neutralize Joseph, Corbett calls off his dogs and turns tail and runs. Meanwhile, Lando quickly slays two hounds and begins dancing swords with Harvey. At the same time Karn is raining arrows on Wynn. With the help of Ghel and Joseph, Wynn gets a shower of deadly arrows and is critically. While crossing swords with Harvey, Lando gets shot repeatedly by Ghel and Karn. Luckily for Lando, Harvey decides to surrender before Ghel and Karn could do Lando too much damage... After some apologies <I was shooting for the other guy, honest>, the group sees some light ahead. Lando investigates and discovers some guards camped out for the night. Meanwhile, Ghel and Joseph nearly comes to blows over the prisoners. In the heat of the arguments, they wind up killing one Wynn and freeing Harvey. Luckily Ghel catches Harvey before he runs too far. With the return of Lando, the weary groups decides to camp out with the guards. Once they reach the camp, Lando sees a shiny monolith off in the distance. Deciding to investigate, they discover an island filled with highly skilled and heavily armed men and wagons from the Eagle Merchant. They also notice the Lothian mercenary with the poleaxe, from their encounter with Northwind, among those men. Knowing that in order to convince the towns folk of Havenford that they elves are not the bloodthirsty brutes the people think, they decide to obtain proof of Eagle merchants dealings with Lothian mercenaries and their plot against the elves.
