BACKGROUND

Local ranger who spend more time alone in the forest than with other men. Slow to speak and having a noticable speech impediment. Zaitan prefers speaking with his ancestors whom he can communicate without words and that is the reason he is frequently alone so that he can communicate with the ancestors undisturbed.
Zaitan is worried about the disapearence of the other rangers. They were good men and you have been seeing strange boot prints near the river and odd claw prints in the deepest groves of the forest. Either could be bad news.
