This is yet another abbreviated summary. April 24th 216B CeeJay takes a break while preparations for secure identifies are made. (Katie checks alignment of weapons, etc) Korvath and Essandri wander town commissioning equipment. No luck in "barony side" Alex and Korvath head into Terino controlled city (now ex-Terino controlled) Get items commissioned but have a hard time due to heathen faith... April 25th 216B CeeJay identifies under guard Alex looks for psions. gets wand of psionic identify. Mel goes into Terino lands and gets a pearl of power made. April 26th 216B CeeJay identifies under guard Alex goes to a secret meeting of the church of WeeJas. Turns out to be like a social gathering or coffee house Several nice illusions, and great music. Commissioned items are ready for party. Essandri and Korvath begin selling unwanted identified items. April 27th 216B Essandri and Korvath finish selling items. (10k gold was approximate take.) Travel arrangements are made. April 28th-30th 216B Travel to Hornlake May 1st 216B Arrive in Hornlake Now under Lothian control. Last Baron died under surprise attack by Ixion and swarm of varghoilles May 2nd 216B Leave Hornlake on trail through Elvin woods. (cuts almost a week off of route) May 3rd 216B Stay in small Hamlet, told there will be no other inns until far side of woods. May 4th 216B Encounter Ogres dressed up as "peasants", pay 10 gold to use their "bridge" Flee nasty looking ogre Barbarian named "Barthezaar" May 5th 216B Attempt to save peasants from mysterious horseman. Horseman has strange powers. (Trees falling, people panic, weapons failing to do damage, etc.) Party chase off horseman, but only after all peasants are dead. Reach small farmhouse. Meet Tarby and Tanasha Lee. (Tanasha is part Elvin) Tarby is very antisocial, won't let armored men in the house. Unarmored party members procede to get Tarby royally stoned. Tanasha is a much more willing. Find out that villagers are starving. Horseman and Elves have been killing villagers. May 6th 216B Leave farmhouse early, (party takes Tanasha along with them) Reach ancient Shrine (thousands of years old?) Shrine is now serving as a non-denominational church. Meet Henwen a druid on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Arrive in Ossington. Town is surrounded by huge Monoliths. Powerful magic on the standing stones. Villagers almost mob party. Most villagers are crazed with hunger. Party gives up a horse to feed villagers. Blue Cookoo is in village (a really Droll Bard) Meet Mayor of town, learn a bit about town's history. Significant places include: the ancient shrine, the silence keepers, the red horse, monoliths of Ossington, and the barrow. Mayor is almost assassinated in front of party. Katie is almost carried off by a giant owl. Summoned beasts attack the party during the attack. Illusions confuse the issue. Party manages to save mayor, but only because Korvath turns out to be a Pelorite healer. Meet Dyson and Tully. (local adventurers) Hear about burial mound, and issues firsthand. Tully found a keen sword on a wight in the entry way. Tully is healed up from wounds taken from the wight before the party arrived. SESSION END (May 6th 216 years after the Breaking) NEXT TIME : There's gold in them there hills... LOOT ---- 1428 gold pieces each.
