While slipping rapidly along the cube the group sees another group of adventurers taking on a swarm of formians and a mynmarch. The humans win quite handily and the party speak with the survivors briefly. The other group tries to convince the party to help them crack the Formian hive. The party had to regretfully decline joining the "bug hunt". Travelling onward the party was jumped by a pair of nightwings (magic immune undead mantarays with powerful magic). The group destroys the undead but lose a couple potions and a few magic spells due to the creature's antimagical fields. The group uses invisiblity spells and fly spells to continue on for a few more hours. Then they finally found a safe spot to camp. Before camping the party was jolted as the cube changed direction and flew straight at another cube. The party teleported away in the nick of time and came back to find miles of blood and ooze as well as some flattened steel predators. From evidence on the cube above the party there was a large battle going on and some powerful entity used Kolotyl to squish a couple of the opposing armies. Soon after the collision the party encounters a warband flung from the other cube. It is a band of a couple hundred orcs marching in formation. Heronaro pulls out the stops and freezes a couple hundred of them in the first few seconds. The rest of the battle deteriates into a game of keep away as the rest of the party tries to kill all the orcs before Berrik can get to them. Whenever Berrik heads towards a group the faster members outpace him or a number of Theringil's arrows slay the orcs. Berrik is a bit upset that the others wouldn't let him play but was satisfied that the Orcish horde was demolished. The party recovered a magical banner as well as a pair of boots of striding. During the night there was another tactical strike, but this time the party was safe having camped in a fissure and the impact occuring on another face fo the cube. January 11th The party was in the midst of breaking down camp when Swiftwind notices a slight disturbance overhead and closing incredibly fast. The entire party scrambles for their weapons moments before a fully prepped blue dragon appears in the center of camp spitting lightning and glowing with protective magics. The party take advantage of the dragon's swoop to hack its left wing off and then as it is forced to crash land they demolish the creature with impressive ease. The party scouts around for a bit to figure out where the dragons lair might be, but finding a likely canidate the group passes on to visit the Iron fortress. Scouting the fortress briefly the party sees a couple of steel predators partolling the grounds. Only one entrance is obvious. The fortress is built in a large depression roughly 10 miles on a side. The depression probably protected the fortress from being demolished in one of the numerous small collisions with other cubes. Satisfied with the initial scouting run the group heads back to explore the dragon lair. In the lair there are 2 more dragons. One is waiting in a hidden niche hasted and magically blurred while the other is hidden in mist directing some illusions. The party is forced to retreat under the onslaught. The flying dragons kick up so much shrapnel that it blinds everyone in the party and shreds their clothes. The party seals the cave using magic, but Heronaros magical walls barely last a minute vs the dragons burrowing abilities. The party seal the cave more carefully and while there are some Dragon burrowing sounds no dragon makes an appearence. Eventually the sounds stop. The party is suspicious so the check for a flanking manuver and discover that the dragons have burrowed outside in an attempt to capture the party in the entryway. The party turns the tables on the dragons and soon the mighty beasts crash to the earth their hide pierced with arrows and their bodies bleeding from numerous cuts. The dragons apparently had circled the party through a tunnel filled with shredded scrap metal. Checking the cave and finding very little in the way of furnishings the party uses some magic to explore the metal shavings and discover a lot concealed down there. In the end the party have a pile of loot including a pair of draconic bracers, several thousand gold, lots of platinum and gems in a "money pit for dragons to frolic in, a magical suit of platemail with unrecognized language, a couple potions, and some scrolls. While examining the magic items Theringil has a problem with one of the giant's swords trying to blind him. He has Qualintal retaliate by smashing the sword into bits.
