What you need:
- 1 lb. ribs
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 2 cups lemon lime soda
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 cups barbecue sauce
- 2 Tbsp. liquid smoke
Directions:
- Cut ribs into smaller sections and put on a rack in a large shallow pan. Sprinkle minced garlic over the top of the ribs.
- Cover and bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for 45 minutes.
- About ten minutes before ribs are done, combine soda, brown sugar, honey, lemon juice, barbecue sauce, and liquid smoke in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Remove meat from oven and move to a clean pan*. Pour sauce over meat.
- Lower heat to 350 degrees. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, uncovered, and brush with sauce every so often.
*Note: I lined my pan with foil and then removed the foil and replaced it with new foil instead of dirtying two pans.
