Easy Sausage Pizza
What you need:
- 1 lb. Italian sausage (mild, hot, or sweet)
- 1 recipe pizza crust dough for 2 pizzas
- 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce
- 2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
Directions:
- Prepare pizza crusts and place on pizza pans. Parbake, if called for.
- Spread pizza sauce onto crusts.
- Top each pizza with 1 cup mozzarella.
- Pinch little 1-inch pieces of sausage onto each crust.
- Divide green peppers between the two pizzas and then top each with 1/4 cup mozzarella.
- Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 8 to 12 minutes or until sausage is browned and is cooked through and cheese has melted.
- *Alternatively, you can cook the sausage in a skillet before placing on the pizza. Just watch to make sure you don't overcook it in the oven.
