Green Bean Casserole Shepherd's Pie
What you need:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 can (14 oz.) cut green beans, drained
- 1 can (10 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 2 packets (4 oz. each) Idaho Spuds Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup French fried onions
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet, drain if needed.
- Add green beans, soup, and garlic. Simmer on low for about 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, bring water to a boil.
- Add mashed potato packets and then remove from heat. Fluff with a fork.
- In a square baking dish, pour ground beef mixture and spread evenly. Then top with mashed potatoes evenly. Top with onions.
- Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and top with cheddar cheese.
- Bake for an additional 5 minutes. Then remove from oven and rest for 5 minutes before serving.
