What you need:
For the donuts:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 6 Tbsp. sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
For the glaze:
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and baking soda.
- In a smaller bowl, beat together vanilla, egg, sour cream, milk, and oil.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Spoon or pipe into a greased donut pan.
- Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 8 minutes or until tops spring back when you press them.
- Let cool while you make the glaze.
- Whisk together all glaze ingredients until smooth. Dunk donuts in the glaze and then place on a wire rack to set for about 5 minutes. If you want, dunk your donuts a second time in the glaze and then let set once again.
