What if I paid my deposit, but no longer want to move in?

When you sign a lease and pay a deposit for a property, we stop accepting other applications and remove it from the market. If you then decide you no longer wish to live at the property, you are causing the owner to miss out on other applicants who would have moved in and paid rent. To make up for the lost rent, you would be charged liquidated damages for up to the equivalent of 30 days of rent out of your deposit on behalf of the owner.
