It’s that time of year again! Wednesday evening, December 3rd, was packed with photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, performances by LEES students, the freshmen and varsity cheerleaders, the dazzlers, colorguard, and the band.
Guests enjoyed the annual Christmas tree contest and warm hot chocolate throughout the night. The celebration wrapped up with the traditional lighting of the tree beside the library.

Proud of Our Student Leaders!
On Saturday, December 6th, our Student Council and National Honor Society members spent their day at the Walmart on 7th Street ringing the bell for the Salvation Army.
We are incredibly proud of these students for representing our district with kindness, leadership, and a spirit of service. Their willingness to give back to the community shows the true heart of our school!
Thank you to our students, sponsors, and families for supporting such a meaningful tradition.

"Mr. and Mrs. Klein sponsored the Just Love and Kindness Project in downtown Texarkana. Students gathered at Arkansas High to fill bags with hygiene items, blankets, gloves, and more. They then met at Mission Texarkana and continued to Randy Sams and the Salvation Army, leaving encouraging messages along the sidewalks. As they walked, students handed out the care bags to individuals experiencing homelessness in the area." - Mrs. Tamera Richert
"Being a part of the group that went to the homeless shelter showed me a lot about how many different people live. I am grateful to have been a part of what happened! Everyone was so kind and pleased to be there!!
It was an amazing environment to be around, with lots of smiles and a warm feeling all around. I think this event is a great way to get students involved and help out the less fortunate individuals around us.
Overall, I had an amazing time meeting new people and helping people I don't get to help out daily!"- Senior Kayla Perez

STUDENTS BRING JOY WITH CHRISTMAS SONGS
Art instructor Ariel Meeks helped everyone get into the Christmas spirit during the week of December 8–12. Her students proudly displayed the decorative scarves they created this semester while singing a selection of Christmas carols for the classrooms on West Campus.
Cristmas Concert 2025 was a festive success!
The evening featured beautiful performances of “Ukrainian Bell Carol,” “The First Noel,” “Happy Holiday/White Christmas,” “African Holy Night,” and “This Christmas.”
The band was also celebrated for earning 1st place in the Veterans’ Day Parade/High School Band category.
Sweater Contest Winners: Jaylon Blackwell and Allee Cook.
Guests enjoyed the joyful music and took a moment to appreciate Mrs. T. Randle Taylor for his dedication to our district.
