It's off to State!!
Sending Neveah off in style.
Cheerleaders, dazzlers, band, staff and students came out to show their support.
Neveah Hill
It's been 13 years since someone at LE went to state for track in the 100 meter dash (5th) and 200 dash (6th) category and Nevaeh Hill broke this streak. “I just have this drive for track, track is a hit or miss. You go up sometimes and down others. Track is very much a mental sport. Before I run I am either really excited and giddy or I’m just calm. When I was at state this year, I was just thinking...power through,” Neveah said.
The hardest thing in track for Neveah is being motivated to practice. This year there was no excitement in practice-not a lot to feed off of.
During the season, Nevaeh begins eating healthier, does harder workouts so she can get in shape, and she makes sure her mental and physical health are in top shape. She follows these habits all year round but more strictly during track season.
