It can be spoken for all of Liberty-Eylau high school when it is said that the food is much better than the years before. There are less students without a tray every day. Students run to the cafeteria instead of just walking because they did not plan on eating the “mystery meat” of the day. Here are some of the students’ comments about our school food.
Makayla Murphy: “Taste is better but we need more of a variety. I feel like every day we have the “classic American cheeseburger” or “classic cheese pizza”
Rivur Hogan: “It’s certainly edible and I do believe is good enough for the amount they have to produce with the time they are given. Simply stated considerably it’s alright.”
The L. E. Maintenance crew along with about 15 student workers has been extremely busy this summer. We had projects on four different campuses this year. Without the hard work and dedication of our maintenance dept. and our student workers we would not have been able complete these projects. On the high school campus we have been trying to complete the fencing around the football field. We also been working to complete the new concessions and restrooms at the football field. Once the contractors got buildings up we finished the inside of them. We also upgraded most of the electrical services to the complex. A new sound system was installed with in the last few weeks. The old concession stand is being turned into a Leopard Gear Hut for Friday nights home game. They will be selling all of the shirts hat's and etc . that they sell at admin. We will be turning the rest of building into storage for athletics. We added block to the front of the stadium on both sides. It was also installed in front of the weight room. It will be also put around the old concession to make it match the new concessions. The contractors are working on the new CTE extension. They are starting to wrap everything up everything there. They are thinking that those rooms will be available for move in by the end of October.
Shirley Washington: " I am excited for more student participation with the new addition to my department."
Kendrick Smith: "We are excited to move into the new addition at the high school. Our students will really benefit from the new facility. Our teachers will be able to take advantage of all of the up to date equipment."
Kelston Joseph: "It makes it look better and brand new."
Taoni Reynolds: "Everything matches and looks great."
