Welding

Instructor: Ray Howell
On Tuesday, September 24th, our welding students attended a reality fair for finances that provided life-changing wisdom through real-life scenarios. Students visited different booths to pay for food, housing, transportation, insurance, personal items, clothing, children, and technology advancements. They realized the responsibilities of budgeting to make their income pay for all their expenses and allowance for extra spending funds. The leopards were engaged and interested throughout the seminar and simulation; they went to a university presentation to learn the benefits of AI use, such as building cover sheets for college and jobs. They were taught how to start saving 10% percent of their gross income, and the awarding contributions that would compound towards an early retirement fund.
And for a fun conclusion to our educational experience, we stopped and had lunch together.
