Olivia Metcalf loves making new friends and meeting new people. Her favorite class is Government while her least is English. Olivia's goal- being able to better herself while doing the right thing and being respectful. After graduation she plans on finding a great job and succeeding with her dreams of helping the homeless. "I really enjoyed being a senior. I loved having people who care and that support me through hard times." Olivia's advice for our freshmen, "Never let people put you down just because you are different."
Kyle Walker holds the memory of his first school dance as a freshman near and dear to his heart. His favorite class is Welding. After graduation, he plans on attending Texas A&M to study Electrical Engineering. Kyle plans on acquiring a job good enough to own a large house and raise a family of his own. When asked about his final thoughts on being a senior, he admits the year has gone well, but he is ready to move forward to the future. Kyle advises freshmen, "Take the ACT early, pray and keep God in your heart while being a good role model."
Arturo Rodriguez holds his special memory as being in the weight room with the boys split into two teams and raced 100 reps on each station. His favorite class is is Pre-Cal and least is Physics CP. Arturo plans on attending Texarkana College to complete his basics then transfer to a University to get his Masters in Economics or Computer Science. He believes he has set a good example as a student and advises our freshmen to be ready to commit to their education. "I'm glad to have attended Liberty-Eylau. It has shaped me to who I am today. I'm ready to become an alumni and get to pursuing my goals."
One of Ernest Adkins' favorite memory is when the Class of '17 had a silly string and shaving cream fight in the senior hallway. His favorite classes are ACT Prep and Spanish while his least is Algebra. After graduation, Ernest plans to live his life to the fullest doing what he loves around who he loves as he follows his dream and career in music. His advice to Freshmen is to be yourself and focus on your own graduation. "Final thoughts on being a senior is I will miss it. This is the final step into life as a mature adult. It is scary but very much exciting."
Last year's tailgate party with her family is Corey Cox's favorite memory. Her favorite class is Leadership with Mrs. Traci Thompson while her least favorite is science. After graduation, Corey will be attending ETBU and majoring in Kinesiology. She plans on becoming a soccer coach and an athletic trainer. Corey advises upcoming freshmen to be yourself, never let anyone tell you that you are not good enough and never take a blow-off class. When asked if she left her mark on our school, Corey replied, "Maybe I have made a difference, maybe not, but one thing I know for sure- LE has made a difference in me."
Matthew Bias holds the memory of performing on the field close to his heart. His favorite class is Band while his least is Pre-cal. After graduation, Matthew plans on studying Computer Information Systems at SAU Tech and achieving great things. He advises incoming freshmen, "Do not slack off; work hard all through high school."
Lakifah Smith enjoys the memories of football season and traveling with the cheerleaders during playoffs. After graduation, her plans are: attending Texas A&M at Commerce in the field of nursing; to over all be successful; and to 'create a name' for herself. She advises upcoming freshmen to develop good study habits. "I'm ready to graduate! I can't believe it's time!"
