“Special memories from my time on the high school campus include attending all the dances, making memories with the few friends I had and enjoying the football games on Friday nights. After graduation, I plan on attending SAU for the fall of 2019, follow up with my basics in veterinary sciences and then transfer to a vet school and eventually open up my own clinic. Advice for upcoming freshmen? Don’t worry about having friends, just worry about graduating because the people you call ‘friends’ are not going to stick around. I feel I have made an impact at our school. My final thoughts about being a senior? It’s a sad but great feeling!”
“While in high school, I made several honor bands and traveled all over Texas. The greatest honor was making the Texas All State Band my senior year. My plan after graduation is to attend SAU to get my associates degree and hopefully attend UT/Austin and obtain a bachelor’s degree in computer hardware programming. It would be great to become the head computer engineer at a big company like Intel. Upcoming freshmen: Don’t focus on other people’s opinions or beliefs- follow your dreams and your desires. Did I leave an impact at LEHS? Being the head drum major when the band made history and performed for the UIL Area Finals hopefully left a legacy for future students. I also was the first LEHS French horn to make the Texas All-State band. It’s been a long high school journey and I am excited to see what life has in store for me.”
“There were many special memories that come to my mind when I think about the past four years of high school. Being a manager at the boy’s baseball games was enjoyable. Welding class was definitely my favorite because we always had a good time working together while building projects! Going to homecoming and prom was a blast too. After graduation, I plan on attending University of Minnesota/Crookston in order to become a horse trainer and hopefully open my own business one day. I would like to train horses so they can offer therapy to those needing help and it is my desire to be successful with this endeavor. Advice for upcoming freshmen: Do not give up; study before every test; be alert and one step ahead; do not take blow off classes to be with your friends! Hopefully I left an impact at school- I do want others to know they can be themselves and proud of who they are. Being a senior has been great- I love it but definitely not quite ready for it to end!”
“Being invited to Washington, DC with the band to perform; going to area and making history and participating in the Four States Honor Band are the most special memories for me as a senior. My plans after graduation are to attend Texas A & M-Texarkana and eventually become an electrical engineer. Providing a stable household for myself and helping my Mom as much as possible are the main goals in my life. Advice for upcoming freshmen? Study and work hard- don’t let your friends change who you are. Being a senior? It’s finally over!”
“My special memory from high school was our end of school Disney trip with HOSA. We met new people, saw the castle and had a wonderful time. I plan on attending Texas A & M Texarkana for my first two years, then transfer to the University of Central Arkansas and major in kinesiology in hopes of becoming an occupational therapist. My ultimate plan is to travel with a professional basketball or football team as their athletic trainer. Advice for upcoming freshmen: Stay focused and enjoy high school. These are the last four years- make wonderful memories with friends and family. I think I left an impact for women here on our campus by showing females can be as strong as males by participating and excelling in powerlifting. Finals thoughts? Only two semesters left with the people I grew up with. From toddlers to young adults- now May 23rd- we finally made it.”
“My favorite memory from high school would have to be during my junior year and playing baseball almost every day. We would wake up early on weekends, play in a tournament and participate in a home-run derby after. I have plans to join the Navy after I graduate and would like to one day own a home. Advice for upcoming freshmen: get involved in extra-curricular activities. I hopefully left my mark/impact on the LEHS baseball team. Senior year is the BEST year while in high school- it’s very chill.”
“ I have plans to become and labor and delivery nurse someday and succeed in taking care of myself with no problems. Advice for upcoming freshmen: Don’t worry about your problems now- in four years, it won’t matter.”
“Attending last year’s and this year’s homecoming events were special to me. My plans after graduation include attending Texarkana College in order to complete my training in diesel mechanics in order to have a successful life and family someday. My advice for upcoming freshmen is to enjoy high school- it won’t last, so make the best of it. I think I left my mark here on our campus and I did enjoy my last four years. I also cannot wait to see what’s waiting for me in the future.”
