"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see." - Edgar Degas
Shawn-Paul Marsh is a senior who loves art and has been drawing since he was very young (6 years old).
His 3rd grade Art teacher, Mrs. Blackwell, was his first adult inspiration as he focused on colors and point of view drawings. He then began watching cartoons and eventually learned to draw the characters while paying attention to the detailed nature of each.
“I can look at most anything and draw it- I love Art!”

"I've been drawing ever since I was 3-4 years old. I get most of my inspiration from music, music albums, genres, the internet, and sometimes what I see in real life. No other person in my immediate family has any type of artistic ability as from what I'm told."

Artist Statement
Hey, my name is India Ware and I’m an artist. Here's a look into why I draw:
I have been drawing ever since kindergarten to the eleventh grade. I currently draw all the time.
I really like drawing sad and depressing things, but I tend to branch off to different areas. I don’t like drawing animals or anything of those sorts.
My uncle and my grandmother (on my mom's side) and my mother believe that I got my skills from them.
" I've been drawing since I could pick up a crayon at 6 years old. I've only ever taken one art class in 7th grade. Other than that, I am self taught. I love to doodle mostly on any scraps of paper or even my arms, but occasionally I'll sit down for a couple of hours and draw or paint something I am really proud of. "
