KATELYN EVANS
A special memory that Katelyn Evans holds close is being able to go to New York with the Interact Club and Student Council her sophomore year. Her favorite class is College Biology while her least is College Trigonometry. After graduation, Katelyn plans on graduating from Texarkana College and moving to Tyler, Texas where she will get her Dental Hygienist degree and start the next phase of her life. "I am glad to graduate as the top twenty percent and to be a sophomore in college."
ALEXIS DAMIAN
Alexis Damian's special memory is meeting her best friend and her girlfriend. Her favorite class is being an office aid while her least is English due to her dyslexia. After graduation, Alexis plans on marrying her significant other, becoming wealthy and having a family of her own. "It's honestly scary, but I guess I am ready to graduate!"
LAZAYVION HAMMICK
Lazayvion Hammick's favorite memories areof participating in the LEHS Leadership class. His favorite class is Coach Harris's Video Technology class while his least favorite is Composition II. Lazayvion plans to graduate from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX and start an Information Technology career that requires frequent traveling. His advice for incoming freshmen students, "Take care of your business the first time, get involved, be organized and check your email every day or every other day!"
CODY ALLEN
Cody Allen’s plans for after graduation are to join the Marines and perform duties relating to motor transport. He would like to retire after twenty years and then become a game warden. Cody’s favorite class is chemistry and his least favorite is ‘anything math related’. Advice to upcoming freshmen: Focus on your education because time passes by way too fast. His most special high school memory would have to be when he gave his life to Christ after talking to the FCA director one day when practice was over. Final thoughts: It seems like it was just yesterday when I was at my 8th grade graduation.
WHITNEY HEMMITT
"Everyday I spent in high school is a memory. Band memories are my best memories!" Whitney Hemmitt's favorite classes are Math and Band while her least is English. She plans to attend Prairie View A&M University to study Biology in order to pursue a career in medicine and become a Hematology/Oncology Physician. Whitney's advice for upcoming freshmen, "Not everything is about being noticed." When asked about emotions toward being a senior, Whitney commented, "It was very fun and exciting. I will definitely miss it."
DEVEN MANGHAM
Deven Mangham's favorite memories would have to be going to New York and Universal Studios/Orlando with student council. Her goal is to begin her studies at Texarkana College and eventually becoming a registered nurse. Her favorite class had to be Mrs. Rice’s biology and her least favorite was Mr. Ghimire’s calculus class. Deven's advice for upcoming freshmen, “Your best friends now are not going to be the same ones when you graduate, and that’s okay. Watch your grades as soon as you come to the campus because you will regret it later if you don’t.”
TONY KENNEDY JR.
Tony Kennedy Jr. has plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University this fall and majoring in Music Education. His favorite class is English and doesn’t have a least favorite one. Tony believes he made everyone smile continuously and going to the AT& T stadium with the band was his most special memory of high school. Traveling to all the football games with the team was just as memorable and he will cherish them forever. Advice to upcoming freshmen, “Listen in class- everything is easier when you actually listen.”
Maya Washington
Maya Washington's favorite high school memory would have to be the senior pep rally. Her senior year came very quickly and English was her favorite class. Maya's plans after graduation include nursing school, focusing on the pre-natal specialty area. For upcoming freshmen, “Take all of the tests offered to you and study.”
Shyrell Blake
Since Shyrell Blake was a dedicated culinary student for the past 2 years, her plans after graduating involve continuing with this program in college and becoming a successful chef. For obvious reasons, her favorite class is culinary….”it’s what I do.” Her advice to upcoming freshmen, “Always do your best and please stay out of trouble. Keep your head on straight.”
Bryan Moore
Bryan Moore’s special memories of high school include practicing every day and playing varsity baseball each Tuesday and Friday night. He wants to play college baseball and study Sociology while there. Bryan's favorite class is Environmental Science and least favorite is English. He encourages upcoming freshmen to work hard and make good grades. “Hopefully I impacted the Liberty-Eylau baseball progam. When I moved to LE, I loved it and will always remember the good times at this school.”
Hayden Turner
Hayden Turner is graduating with an Associate's degree from Texarkana College before graduating High School. As special memories he has Baseball games and hanging out with his teammates, escorting Corey Cox and Kelly Cigainero during Homecoming Pep Rallies, volunteering community events, mentoring kids in the district and Friday night football games. Hayden’s goals are to graduate number one in his senior class and get a master's degree from A&M-College Station. He would like to commission into the Air Force as an officer upon receiving his education. Hayden’s favorite class was college Calculus with Mr. G. Advice for incoming freshmen, “Enjoy everything you do and do everything you can to the best of your ability.You are only young once and sometimes you only get one chance in life to do something right. Make every moment count. Life is about your experiences and the connections you make with people.I am not sure that I made a difference to anyone here, but I know that all of my teachers, mentors and friends have made a difference to me. I am thankful for all of the encouragement that everyone gave me over the years. When all is said and done, the memories you made in high school will always stay with you. The things that you have experienced and the people you have met is what shapes us as individuals. Always be humble and never forget to thank God!”
