Powerlifting this year began with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement. Coach Brandon Rollins has worked hard to recruit more interested athletes and it has paid off.
At the beginning of the season, approximately 30 females and 20 male students expressed a desire to compete in the upcoming meets. Athletes began training each week and participated at the Texas High and Liberty-Eylau meets in January as well as Maud and Redwater meets in February.
Girl's Results
Nineteen girls qualified for Regionals this season and traveled to Eustace, Texas on Friday, March 3rd and lifted on Saturday, March 4th.
Kamariee Ellis, Lanesya Ware, and Teyona Lattin qualified for the State meet in Frisco, Texas on March 17th.
Boy's Results
Eight boys qualified for Regionals this season and competed in Arp, Texas on Friday, March,10th.
