"Mr. and Mrs. Klein sponsored the Just Love and Kindness Project in downtown Texarkana. Students gathered at Arkansas High to fill bags with hygiene items, blankets, gloves, and more. They then met at Mission Texarkana and continued to Randy Sams and the Salvation Army, leaving encouraging messages along the sidewalks. As they walked, students handed out the care bags to individuals experiencing homelessness in the area." - Mrs. Tamera Richert
"Being a part of the group that went to the homeless shelter showed me a lot about how many different people live. I am grateful to have been a part of what happened! Everyone was so kind and pleased to be there!!
It was an amazing environment to be around, with lots of smiles and a warm feeling all around. I think this event is a great way to get students involved and help out the less fortunate individuals around us.
Overall, I had an amazing time meeting new people and helping people I don't get to help out daily!"- Senior Kayla Perez

STUDENTS BRING JOY WITH CHRISTMAS SONGS
Art instructor Ariel Meeks helped everyone get into the Christmas spirit during the week of December 8–12. Her students proudly displayed the decorative scarves they created this semester while singing a selection of Christmas carols for the classrooms on West Campus.
Cristmas Concert 2025 was a festive success!
The evening featured beautiful performances of “Ukrainian Bell Carol,” “The First Noel,” “Happy Holiday/White Christmas,” “African Holy Night,” and “This Christmas.”
The band was also celebrated for earning 1st place in the Veterans’ Day Parade/High School Band category.

It was a fun-filled Friday at the high school on December 12th! The band played a festive medley of holiday tunes while the Dazzlers performed and encouraged everyone to get into the holiday dance spirit. Students enjoyed cookies and juice provided by our administration. A special thank-you to Ms. Roberson and Ms. Watson for coordinating such a wonderful event!
STUDENTS support the read-a-thon with children
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our Liberty-Eylau Elementary Read-A-Thon today! Your energy, encouragement, and love for reading contributed significantly to the event's wonderful success.
We also want to give a special shoutout to the TAMU–Texarkana baseball players who joined us—four of whom are proud Liberty-Eylau graduates and former LE baseball players. Our students were thrilled to read with you, and your presence meant a great deal to our campus and community.
Thank you all for making today unforgettable and for supporting our young readers!
STUDENTS helping with Chick-fil-a Do-Good-December Project
On Wednesday, December 17th, three members of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, along with adult leaders, visited the Early Childhood Center to take part in the annual Do Good December event with Chick-fil-A. This special tradition focuses on spreading kindness, generosity, and holiday cheer throughout our school community.
As part of the initiative, high school students and staff donated toys for ECC students, helping make the holiday season joyful and memorable for our youngest learners. In addition, books packaged during the October meeting were distributed, further supporting early learning and literacy. The generosity shown truly reflected the spirit of compassion and giving.
The warm, welcoming atmosphere made the event both meaningful and fun, serving as a reminder that small acts of kindness can create a lasting impact. We extend our sincere thanks to Chick-fil-A and everyone who contributed to making Do Good December a special experience for our ECC students.
