The first semester of the 2024-25 school year is almost over! Staying in shape and living a healthy lifestyle has become very popular (and not to mention a necessity). One of our journalism students recently interviewed a principal, two teachers, and a few students to discuss their choice to live healthier.

What do you do to have a healthy lifestyle?
Process healthy foods, and try to eat as healthy as possible.
Why did you decide to have a healthy lifestyle?
I love it when my body is in shape.
Do you enjoy eating healthy/working out?
Yes, I enjoy feeling good.
Do you have cheat days?
Yes, everyone deserves a sweet treat once in a while.
How ready were you to change your eating habits?
I was so eager to get back in shape.
How are your current behaviors affecting your life?
Even though I'm pregnant, I still try to work out, not too much but enough to keep my body in shape.
What have you done in the past to change your habits?
I STOPPED drinking Dr. Pepper.
What strategies have worked for you in the past?
Dropping soft drinks and laying off fatty foods.
What do you eat to support your gut health?
Fiber and whole foods.

Yes, I do.

So I can achieve my goals in the future.

Ready because what I wanted in the future wouldn't work out with the way I was eating.

Kind of bad, because I haven't been eating like I want to.

Start off by eating breakfast every morning and it will help you change a lot of your old habits.

Eating stuff I like but in a healthier way.

Eat a lot of greens and veggies.
