Beginning in August, many students were offered the chance to learn the art of floral design with the Agriculture instructor, Ivy Harris-Brown. Floral designers learn the different types of flowers and plants, how to use them in designs, and which flowers complement each other. They also learn about the principles and elements of design, such as line, form, space, color, balance, and proportion.Â
"This is an exciting time on our campus, especially for students interested in a career in the floral design industry or those who want to have fun with flowers, plants and/or decorations. We hope to accommodate the floral needs of our district eventually."--Instructor Mrs. Ivy Harris-Brown
