A special memory is when I got a one on my first solo and made the all region choir my freshman year. After I graduate, I want to go to college to be a drama teacher and eventually go back to college to be a psychologist for children and teens. Any advice for incoming freshmen? Don't get in to something if you aren't willing to put 100% of your heart into it. At some point in my life I would like to be able to help kids and their families find positive ways to express emotion and eventually open a free psychology clinic for low income families. Being a freshman and a sophomore you can't wait to graduate but about your junior year, it starts to catch up to you-that's what it did for me at least. Being a senior still feels so unreal, even with graduation being practically around the corner. I'm going to miss high school, all of the memories I have made, all of the people and teachers I have met. I know for a fact I'll be back to visit.
One of my special memories from high school was last year when Mrs. Pickering took the choir and I on a trip to New York city to perform at Carnegie Hall. It truly was an unforgettable experience. After graduation, I plan to attend Texas A&M-Texarkana to get my Bachelors degree in Biology, then I will attend an OT school and become an Occupational Therapist. Any advice for incoming freshmen? Don't give up on your dreams and never lose sight of who you truly are… and trust me, the time goes by quicker than you think! I believe that I have left an impact in the younger students I’ve come to know throughout the years and I hope that my guidance and lessons have prepared them for the future. It’s been fun and I am happy with how I will be ending this chapter in my life.
Senior year was a special one that most every senior will remember. After I graduate, I will enroll in a cosmetology school and get my license to practice and after that, I want to move to either Florida or California to start living my best life. Down the road I just want to be successful, I want to look back 10 years from now and think "Wow, I came from having nothing to having everything." Freshmen-once you get to high school 'friends' don't matter-high school is an emotional roller coaster. I believe everyone has made an impact at this school, whether it was good or bad, we all played a role. Being a senior is exciting, but scary. School is all we've known for 13 years now and they're just gonna throw us out to reality.
I remember experiencing and learning how to deal with real life situations! I also remember meeting and helping people out in different conditions. After I graduate I want to go to college to become a social worker, and if I had any advice for freshmen it would be to have fun, ignore the haters, don't slack and be the best you! I don't know if I made any impact on the school but I enjoyed my time here! It was difficult but I got through it!
My favorite memories from high school was when I was a sophomore going to Sadie's and Prom and living the best life with my son Ayden Williams. After high school, I plan to go to the service for the U.S Navy and go to college for welding or automotive or if I change my mind, then I would go to school to become a barber or for business. I want raise my son the right way and give him the best role model that he needs from a man. My advice for the upcoming freshman- come to school prepared and ready to work. Don’t play around about your work. I believe I set a standard for respecting others while attending LE. Your last year will go by so fast-you will think back and say to yourself, "Man, I will miss being with the class that I am about to graduate and walk the stage with.” And last but not least, have fun and enjoy your last year. WELCOME TO HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMEN!
I remember traveling and playing a part of the varsity baseball team. I remember Friday night football games, and all of the volunteer activities with leadership and student council. After I graduate, I'm planning on attending Stephen F. Austin State University and majoring in Forestry Wildlife Management. A few years down the road I would like to have a family and travel outside of the United States. If I had any advice, it'd be to not let any of the drama affect who you are as a person, all of it will pass if you just ignore it and move on. I do feel I have left a better culture in the athletic program as well as impacting the school academically. High school has been a great experience and I’m going to miss every moment of it.
My special memories include participating in top honor bands all over the country, and being able to compete all over the state with my closest friends Jonathon Urenda and Korey Broussard, who hold my most special memories. After graduation I plan to attend Southern Arkansas University to get a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering-Physics and hopefully attend University of Texas at Austin to earn a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering and an Associate's Degree in Astrophysics or Astronomy. A few years down the line, I would like to hopefully be a part of a team of engineers at NASA, SpaceX, or any other major aerospace/space exploration company. I would like to end my education with a Doctorate of Science for Astrophysics or Astronomy and a Doctorate of Engineering for Aerospace Engineering. Incoming freshman: live life and make changes but change for the betterment of your future. Be yourself in the most positive way possible. It is time to start making decisions that are going to help you in the long run. Do not be influenced by the negative energies of high school because I guarantee you, there will be an abundance of it. Get out there, join different organizations, try new things, but always remember to be the best you can be for you and yourself only. I was the first Tuba player to ever make Texas All-State Band along with numerous other honor bands at Liberty-Eylau and the first musician to ever make it All-State all 4 years of their high school career. It's been real. I've had good and bad times going through high school but it has shaped me into the smart, wild, aggressive, talented, and humorous individual I am today.
A special memory from high school would be when our baseball team made playoffs for the first time since 2011. Our opponent was Pittsburgh and the whole game was intense, but we ended up winning in extra innings 1-0. After I graduate, I plan to attend Texas A&M College Station to study aerospace engineering, where I want to get a master's degree. Freshmen, you only have one high school senior year, enjoy it while it lasts. Personally, I have impacted the school by being a part of the LEHS band and LEHS baseball team where I have played a part in breaking history. In band, we made a grand sweepstakes, which hasn’t been done since 1999, along with our baseball team who made playoffs, which we haven't done since 2011. As a senior this year, I have enjoyed the time I had with my friends. Being a senior has given me a unique perspective since next year, high school will move on, no matter what. So enjoy it for as long as you can.
Some of the best memories I have from high school were advancing in Theatre UIL, learning to skate, going on book club trips and creating a comfortable space for my friends and I. After I graduate I plan on attending Whittier College in California to study forensic psychology. Through forensic psychology I hope to help many families and make a positive impact on their lives. Freshmen, you're in high school now. Most of us are preparing to move on into adulthood; don't run and scream around campus. Be yourself, don't try to fit in with any "friends" you have, most of them will have left your circle by senior year. You have so much growing to do, whether that be growing together or apart, and that senior you're talking to doesn't love you. I don't think I impacted the school as an individual, but as apart of a group. The LEHS Theatre club advanced in UIL for the first time in years, allowing all of us to see that it was indeed possible to do so. It seems like I've waited all my life to be a senior, and now all my hard work is about to be rewarded. I just wish it could have happened a bit sooner, though I'm grateful for the time I've spent here making memories with some of my best friends.
