About Jared
Jared is the Director of Educational Technology for the Lincoln Intermediate Unit and the 2017 PAECT Leader of the Year. Prior to serving in his current role, he was the Director of Technology for five years in the Red Lion Area School District having taught Chemistry for nine years prior to that.
In his past two roles, he has been responsible for all of the instructional technology and infrastructure decision-making, founding his educational philosophy in the ISTE Standards. Jared has promoted engaging staff and student learning communities through online collaboration and Google Apps for students and staff. His focus on technology integration into the classroom earned him acceptance as a 2006 Keystone Technology Integrator. He has also been featured in articles found in Digital Directions, Educational Weekly, AASA’s School Administrator, Edutopia, and more.
He has been a conference speaker and workshop presenter at ISTE/NECC, MICCA, NSTA, PSTA, PAECT, and Pete&C. He also serves as an educational technology consultant and has provided professional development to districts in states that include Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, California, Texas, Indiana, Colorado, Louisiana and Arkansas. He has been selected as a Best-of-the-Best Presenter at ISTE and has represented ISTE faculty at the GETEX summit in Dubai, UAE. Further he is the Co-Science Curriculum Specialist and Independent Consultant for ISTE and is a contributing author for ISTE’s Learning and Leading with Technology Publication.
