There are currently 23,600 grant-giving foundations in the United States, with $64 billion in assets, $4.8 billion of which is available for grants and gifts. However, less than 7 percent of the funds currently paid out by the top 500 grant-giving institutions goes to K-12 public education. New! Digital Wish 43 Grant Opportunities Program

"Hi There!

Just a quick note to let you know we've launched a grants/fundraising initiative for technology at http://www.digitalwish.com. Teachers who register and submit a lesson plan to Digital Wish, will automatically qualify for 43 new grant opportunities. We've posted a searchable library of lesson plans, loads of fundraising ideas, a grants database, a technology "Wish List", and a school locator. Your local school is probably already in the system!

Please register your school, tell your story, and make your technology wishes public on http://www.digitalwish.com. Next month we'll be adding an online donation feature to Digital Wish that will allow anyone to make a donation to your classroom's cart, or purchase items off your wish list (like a wedding registry).

Feel free to send feedback on the site, and thanks for participating. You are welcome to let your staff know about Digital Wish."

All the best,

Heather Chirtea
