Session 1: Alternatives to Traditional Presentations
This presentation will focus on showcasing a variety of tools that you and your students can use to break the monotony of
traditional slide shows. An overview of each tool will be provided, in addition to discussion on how they can be implemented to fit your needs. Also, ideas for alternative ways to use slides will be entertained. Perfect for 1:1 programs, and flipped and personalized learning in the classroom.
- Introduction: 5 -10 minutes
- Presentation & examples of tools: 30-40 minutes (Examples: Piktochart, Canva, Emaze, Nearpod, Google Slides, Smore, ThingLink, VoiceThread, Google Sites, EdPuzzle)
- Discussion on how audience has or can personalize for their use: 10-15 minutes
