iMiddle Kickball Tourney

Starting on 4/15 we are going to have a mini iMiddle Kickball tournament for our Advisory challenges, which will culminate in Staff vs. Students Kickball games (during both Advisories) on Friday May 6.

Due to the shortened time for this challenge, we are teaming up with another Advisory class (or two ;). You will be a team working together to defeat your opponent. The teams are as follows

Advisory 1

Team Gomez.Engan

Team Silva.Turk

Team Nusser.Poland

Team Olson.Urbino.ASB(only a handful from ASB are playing)

Advisory 2

Team Vosburgh.Little.Nichols

Team Ladeby.Reiff.Kim

Team Russell.Henry.Taylor

Team Miller.Rice.Campbell

The game is iMiddle Kickball, see link for rules of game. All students have played in PE and we have played in past challenges so this should be a great competition.

Friday 4/8 will be a teambuilding activity between the advisories that are now going to be teaming together. Many students are out for the Science Night Pizza Party too. But before you begin Teambuilding take a look at the brackets, schedule and rules of the game. The first teacher listed above is the room where the other team should go (or call each other and work it out :) )

Friday 4/15 will be Games 1 and 2

Friday 4/22 will be Game 4 (Winners from 4/15) and Game 3 (Losers of 4/15)

Thursday 4/28 will be a special Game 5 with the Winner of Game 3 and Loser of Game 4 from 4/22

Friday 4/29 will be Game 6 with the Winner from Game 4 on 4/22 and Winner of Game 5 from 4/28. I have added double elimination to the championship game to make it the most fair and equitable process. IF NECESSARY, the championship game will be Monday during Advisory. (meaning if Vosburgh.Little.Nichols and Turk.Silva lose Friday, this will be their first loss, so they will play the same teams again Monday for overall winner).

Friday 5/6 Each Advisory teacher (not team, but each Advisory) will pick 2-3 students to represent your Advisory class on Team Student. This joint student team will take on Team Staff for an iMiddle Kickball game

Games for Thursday 4/28 Advisory

Games for Friday 4/29 Advisory

Other Advisory classes are welcome to come out and watch but must be supervised by their teacher.

If you choose to stay in you may have choice activities: schoolwork, an indoor challenge like charades or scattegories, icebreaker games etc.
