Ideas/Example 1
Project idea: I want to become a cross country runner.
Question: Do daily runs help my mile time?
Plan: I will run daily increasing my distance each day. I will track my distance and time each run. I will keep a journal about what I eat and how I feel. I will take pictures or videos to use as part of my presentation.
I will research 3 articles about fitness/exercise and summarize them.
Idea/Example 2
Project idea: I want to learn how to make brownies.
Question: How do different recipes (baking times and ingredients) affect brownie taste?
Plan: I will bake a different batch of brownies each week and have taste testers rate them. I will take pictures of myself baking as well as each of the brownie recipes I make to use in my presentation.
I will research multiple recipes to try and learn about the ingredients in brownies.
Idea/Example 3
Project idea: I want to make a cook book of family recipes.
Question: How does grandma make that great mole?
Plan: I will cook with grandma each week and take pictures of what we do and write down the recipes. I will use these pictures and/or videos in my presentation.

Project idea: I want to make my own game.
Question: Why are some games more interesting than others?
Plan: Within one week I will have a general idea or theme, By week 2 I will have thought of the rules, week 3 and 4 I will make the game board and pieces, week 5 I will have players test my game and give me feedback, week 6 I will make changes to my game. I will take pictures and videos to use in my presentation.
I will survey students about what they like in games and I will research the origins of some of the most popular or long lasting games.

Project idea: I want to take a class project to the next level and improve it.
Question: Can I build my own working trebuchet?
Plan: After I research my design I will make a shopping list. By week 2 I will have my supplies and I will begin to build. I will build, test and adjust weeks 3, 4, and 5. I will take pictures and videos to use in my presentation.
I will research the blue prints for a trebuchet.
