What do you hope to accomplish?
What goals are you setting for yourself?
How would you like to grow?
What fun things would you like to do?
What would you like to learn? (not just in your classes, but as a person also)
THEN, take out a piece of paper and start writing a letter to yourself that you will open up and read at the end of the school year. You can write it however you like. You can congratulate yourself for the specific things you will have accomplished (based on the goals and hopes you just identified for yourself). You can remind yourself of the things you have identified today. You can write them out like a checklist and then see which ones you can check-off when you reopen the letter. WHATEVER YOU LIKE! But make sure you write something you will be proud to open, and work hard this year to remember and strive for those goals!!
Once you have finished your letter. Fold it and put your name on the outside. You can put one staple in the edge of the fold if you'd like. Turn it in to your teacher and he/she will put the letters somewhere safe until the end of the school year for you to read.
