The video states that in order to see results the act of reflection needs to become part of your routine. There are many ways to reflect and in this video the creator works with a reflection group. We are asking you to complete a reflection log so you can see trends. Please complete your learning log for this week: Learning Log 10/8

Please read the following poem by Portia Nelson:
There’s a Hole in my Sidewalk
Chapter One
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost .... I am helpless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.
Chapter Two
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend that I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in this same place.
But, it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.
Chapter Three
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in ... it's a habit ... but, my eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.
Chapter Four
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.
Chapter Five
I walk down another street.
What point is this poem trying to make??
Take a look at the differences in each of the Chapters and see how the author changes her perspective and thought process.
How often do you blame others and/or external factors for the situations you find yourself in?!?
Next time you find yourself in a situation you don't like, take a second to think about the choices you can make to avoid it happening again! :)
