PBIS Focus: Responsibility
The quality of being dependable.
Being responsible is the ability to be trusted and relied upon, to won up to your actions, and to make rational and moral decisions on your own. I like to get to know people who are different from me.
Teachers, please be on the lookout for students demonstrating Responsibility. Sign the bottom of the planner with an early to lunch note!
Reminders from Admin:
- Courts - Only students who are PLAYING are allowed on the courts. If you are not playing you need to stay in the lunch area.

We are halfway through P2! Are you checking PowerSchool? Are you being responsible and keeping up with your assignments. Be sure to check in with your teachers if you are struggling or have any questions about past work.

Community Circle -
Teachers please see the community circle lesson for this week in your shared PBIS drive. Please let students know that we will be looking for ideas from and sharing the results of the "recognition" question to make things even better at iMiddle.

DEAR/Lexia
It is DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time! If students do not have a book from which to read, they should be work on Lexia's PowerUp. All students should know how to log in through Clever. Advisory teachers should monitor through Happara to ensure students only have that tab open and are actively working on Lexia if they do not have a book.

If your class did not do the survey yesterday, please have them go to the advisory website and fill in the survey from Weds (scroll up).
Genius Hour is Coming!
We are going to start Genius hour on Thursdays during advisory. Please visit this link to our Genius Hour page (also in the navigation on the top) and watch the video to see how Genius Hour got started. Review the "What it is" and "What it is Not" sections as well as the student samples.
If you have additional time please visit our Genius Hour Inspiration page and watch some kids from around the country putting their genius into action!
Is your birthday between July and October?? Did you get a blue slip from your Advisory teacher??
If so, wait for the announcement and then come out and line up in front of the Auditorium for a birthday treat! :)
