Teachers, please be on the lookout for students demonstrating Fairness. Sign the bottom of the planner with an early to lunch note!
If you ever need to talk to Ms. O'Donnel you can let her know by filling out this form: http://tinyurl.com/imiddlecounselor
Please make sure teachers have a count entered on the Google Form. We are close. LINK to record your number of cans.
If you want the admin team to see your google slide presentation, so they can consider the work you did there when they judge the projects, one person should
You can also just pull it up so they can take a look as they come around.
Be sure to include a picture of your structure in your presentation. You do not have to turn in your google slide, only if you want admin to look at it because you think it will help your structure in the judging.
We will take them apart TOMORROW during advisory.
See the team lists below. ONLY students who are participating can come out to the fields. Teachers, if the circle is done early, please allow students to go to lunch 5 mins early.
When you come out, go to your field and SIGN IN your initials NEXT TO YOUR NAME. If there is someone playing your team who is NOT on the list, your team will forfeit the match. Team 1 (RED) vs 2 (YELLOW) on field close to the school. Team 3 (YELLOW) vs 4 (RED) on field closest to the freeway.
Qualifying matches are Mon, Tues, and Weds. Finals on Thursday. Remember you PROMISED to follow the rules and be good sports. Following the rules and being good sports is what makes playing games fun. It also encourages us to organize more tournaments.
Rules in case students want to review them (TEACHERS do NOT need to go over these with the entire class). The rules will also be posted on the announcement board by the gate going out to the fields.
Teachers please see the community circle lesson for this week in your shared PBIS drive. It is optional this week. Teachers may come up with some of their own questions, allow students to come up with question suggestions for the group to share, play ice breaker games, or DEAR. Tomorrow some of DEAR will be taken up by cleaning up and donating the items.
When instructed by your teacher to do so, please CAREFULLY, take your structures apart. Make sure you do NOT damage the labels or containers. Put all of your food items into a box (you can use your plastic bucket that had the two rolls of tape as a last resort). An ASB student will come by and escort your food (with a student or two carrying it) to Coach K's truck. They will show you where it is located.
Please return the two rolls of tape, extra sticks, and any other UNUSED building supplies to S4 (Nusser's science room). An ASB student will sign in that your advisory returned their stuff. Return it in the bucket if you don't have to use the bucket to contain the food. Please recycle the any cardboard or paper.
Thank you again for everyone who participated. We saw some really great ideas for how people can make a difference. We also raised a lot of food for people who need it.
Thanks
The tournament continues today. Students participating can be let out 5 minutes early. Do NOT go over by the science rooms until Mr. Nusser or Coach K comes to get you. Stay in the lunch area. One of the teachers will open the gates a little about 10 mins into lunch. Find your team. Team 2 (Yellow) is playing Team 4 (red) on the close field. Team 1 (Yellow) is playing team 3 (Red) on the far field. Remember to be good sports. Remember you can only deliver TWO sets of flags to players who are kneeling. Thanks for following the rules.
If you have LOP make sure you report to the LOP lunch area immediately at the end of Advisory. Do not get lunch or go see your friends. You will be allowed to eat in LOP.
Please note that "I forgot" or "They didn't come and get me" are not excuses and will result in more LOPs or greater consequences. Thank you for being responsible and reporting to LOP when assigned.
Please remind students that library books (not including textbooks) can only be checked out for 2 weeks.
Winter break is 2 weeks, therefore EVERY library book (not including textbooks) will be due on the Monday when we return. (Some of them will be overdue by then).
Every library book that a student now has out needs to be either returned or renewed on the Monday we return. Please remind all students to bring them on that day. If they forget, remind them on that Monday that they need to be brought in and either returned (if they are done with them) or renewed (if they are still reading them) ASAP (upon returning from break).
1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3. Check the board to see which field and which color flags. Be good sports. Don't cheat and try hard not to complain :).
We are going to start highlighting a different student each week to learn more about them. This week lets meet RICHMAN DU!!
